Essential is intended for a simple, one-stone ring or pendant in sterling silver, with the possibility of subtle brass details.

Bespoke allows for greater complexity, more significant or multiple stones, intricate fabrication, hand-built elements, and small amounts of gold.

Exceptional offers the greatest freedom in materials, scale, sourcing, and complexity, including rare stones, precious materials, and highly individual construction.

No. Artistic freedom is an essential part of my commission process.

Your questionnaire and our conversation establish the parameters of the piece. From there, I interpret what you have shared through my own language as an artist.

The finished piece is revealed when the work is complete.

Yes. If there is a stone you feel strongly drawn to, please tell me in your questionnaire.

Depending on the commission, I may work with that stone, source something specifically for you, or allow what you have shared to guide me toward something unexpected.

Possibly. I will need to see the stone and determine whether it is suitable for the work before agreeing to incorporate it into a commission.

You don't need to.

A feeling, memory, person, place, transition, stone, symbol, or even an unexplained attraction can be enough to begin.

Essential commissions are generally completed within approximately six weeks.

Bespoke and Exceptional commissions are generally completed within approximately three months.

Pieces requiring unusual sourcing or particularly complex fabrication may take longer. If additional time is anticipated, we will establish that before the work begins.

Once the scope and investment have been established, a 50% non-refundable deposit reserves your commission and allows the work to begin.

The remaining balance is due when your piece is complete and before delivery or shipping.

Shipping is additional and will be arranged once your piece is complete.

Your investment is established before work begins. If I discover an exceptional stone, material, or possibility that I believe belongs in the piece but would increase the agreed investment, I will contact you before incurring the additional cost.

Because each commission is created with artistic freedom rather than through a traditional design-and-approval process, revisions are not part of the commission.

We establish the important practical parameters before I begin. From there, I ask you to trust the process.

Yes. A commission can be created for someone you love. The questionnaire can be completed from your perspective, sharing what you know about the person, the relationship, and what you hope the piece might carry.

Not necessarily.

I am more interested in what lives beneath the story than in illustrating it. A symbol, memory, or experience may influence the stone, form, composition, texture, or some detail known only to us.

The interpretation is part of the work.
